Artist's description: I am a Caucasian female that believes more whites women and men should stand up for what is right. I painted this because of my biracial son who I have experienced prejudice situations with, some involving the police. He is only 21 months old. More of the prejudice happens when his father is around. I always admired black men and women for their beauty and the color of their skin. They should be extremely proud of their culture and features. Everyone should appreciate them equally. The rainbow represents pride, not only in black communities, but, everywhere! The women represents oppression towards not only black womenswear especially, but, women everywhere! Iridescent varnish finish, multi-color acrylic paint, small strokes, feee hand, no reference just went for it.
