Artist's description: Born To Shine Waratah Bridal Gown and green By HSIN LIN 28/08/2020 Artwork size -40.6 x 50.8 X 1.5 cm Acrylic on Acid Free Gesso Primed Canvas. Sides painted. With D-rings and wire attached at the back, ready to hang and ready for a new home. Affirmation: You are the light in my eyes. Waratah flower is the symbol of undying love. Waratah (Telopea) - a member of the plant family Proteaceae, native to the south eastern parts of Australia - New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. The inflorescence of Proteaceae is often very large, bloom in brightly, vivid colour, consisting of many small flowers densely packed into a compact head or spike. The bright red Telopea speciosissima is the NSW state emblem. Theres also a saying that the aboriginal people soaked the Waratah in water and drank it as a tonic of strength. This artwork is painted during the lock down, a special isolation diary that I wrote with my paint brushes. Hope you enjoy this artwork of mine. Artwork inspired by nature in Mount Evelyn, Melbourne, Victoria, Winter 2020. -WILD BOTANICAL ABSTRACT SERIES 2020 by HSIN LIN-
