Artist's description: 'Burning every bridge that I cross To find a beautiful place to get lost' Acrylic, oil and collage on panel with white wooden frame. Made of recycled materials: reused wooden panels, discarded wall paint leftovers, paper cut-outs of digital images treated with acrylic resins and seamlessly incorporated into the composition. The juxtaposition of the three different techniques (digital, oil and acrylic) gives the whole image a distinctive depth and intensity. Lying like a teardrop in the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka is also called India's tear. I fled to this enchanting place in the midst of winter, the ultimate escape for body and mind. While travelling around the island I took several pictures which I've used to create a collection of mixed media paintings.
