Giuseppe Corsetti, also known as Mudra, polyhedral in his creations, is an artist in the essence. He has a self-education. He looks at the past as a necessary comparison that leads him, through his paintings, to an intimate reworking of the art. His admiration for the Great Masters, to whom he pays tribute, becomes artistic curiosity, lust for knowledge of the multiple genres and styles that he experiences with humility and passion. The pictorial lyricism of landscapes characterized by a vigorous and idyllic whiteness, opposes to oneiric scenarios with kindled colours, methaphysical stories, interior projections of otherness. In the still lives, with meticolousness, Mudra descibes the artificial prosperity of ripe fruits, the vanitas of deadly freshness’ flowers. The artist is strongly tied to his land, whose ancient beauty is breathed in glimpses of the municipalities of Lenola, Monte San Biagio, Sperlonga, in charming panoramic views and in personal historical commemorations. Mudra tells about Fondi, he celebrates it in the depictions of Castello Caetani that, massive, dominates the native town. In the end, the dynamic ecletticism of the artist leads him to portray himself, his loved ones and his closest friends. He outlines faces with marked traits. With great skill and sensitivity, he points out the shine and sparkle of the eyes, he captures the intensity of the glances. Mudra combines landscapes, places, people, feelings: his articulated artistic investigation is constantly evolving.
