Artist's description: This subject is a homage to Australia that has been recently under attack by storms and fire and is struggling to survive. As a matter of fact I was inspired by one my 'Best Friends' who has a preference for Australia, its cities, likes wild nature and wild animals. My aim is to focus mankind's attention on being environmentally friendly. We have to acknowledge that Nature is a precious God's gift and we can't but respect it and stand in admirable attitude in front of this treasure.
I was surprised when few months after this artwork production Mount Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock was declared not more climbable for tourists who had demonstrated to be inconsiderate towards this marvellous and unique monolith. Finally and fortunately this 'jewel' has been given back to the land's traditional owners.
